The Problem of Nanking Reporting Broadcast by Nippon Television Only a Few Years Ago: Shiro Azuma and the Postwar Media’s Structure of Concealment

Published on July 15, 2019.
This article criticizes what the author sees as the long-concealed structure of Japan’s postwar media, focusing on reporting about the Nanking Massacre, Shiro Azuma, the Asahi Shimbun, NHK, and a Nippon Television program.
Starting from the suspicion that anti-Japanese reporting used former soldiers’ testimonies in a manner similar to Seiji Yoshida in the comfort women issue, it discusses the abnormality of Japanese newspaper and television reporting and its accommodation of Chinese and Korean Peninsula propaganda.

July 15, 2019.
The problem is that Nippon Television broadcast it only a few years ago!
It is an obvious fact that the Asahi Shimbun played the largest role in the fabrication of the Nanking Massacre, but recently a thought had suddenly crossed my mind… there must have been someone like Seiji Yoshida in the comfort women issue… someone who wrote books or spoke in the media in the form of testimony by a former soldier.
Yesterday, by coincidence or perhaps by necessity, I discovered Shiro Azuma on the Internet.
Even though I had subscribed to and carefully read the Asahi Shimbun and continued watching NHK for a truly long time, I knew absolutely nothing about this man, and that shows the abnormality of the people at Asahi and NHK to an extreme degree.
The reason I did not know until yesterday is… needless to say… that they had continued to conceal it.
Because their lies, by which they have continued to create newspaper pages and programs with a masochistic view of history and anti-Japanese thought(it would not be an exaggeration to say that they have continued reporting fake news), would be exposed before the whole world, they never reported it at all, either in print or on screen.
Not only that, but a few years ago, Nippon Television broadcast a strange program late at night….
It was a truly outrageous program claiming that the Nanking Massacre had actually occurred… inserting dubious photographs and the like….
It broadcast a program that very clearly appeared to be pandering to Chinese propaganda….
That, too, involved people like this Shiro Azuma….
People who took advantage of the theory, spread by GHQ for the occupation of Japan when the left wing was running rampant, that the Japanese military equaled villainy(since they made it into an evil equivalent to the Nazis, no matter how much they were victorious nations, the falsehood went too far)….
There is also no doubt that they had fallen into money traps and honey traps set by China and the Korean Peninsula….
There were lying human beings here and there.
Asahi, their television stations, NHK, and the like joyfully jumped on them.
The problem is that Nippon Television broadcast it only a few years ago!
In other words, it was a program that proved that descendants of Chongryon and others, who slipped into the media amid the postwar chaos, are present in key positions in the reporting, production, and editing sections of each media organization.
The Japanese people must practice such things as stopping their subscriptions to the Asahi Shimbun, watching NHK news with skepticism, subscribing to the four monthly magazines I mention, and subscribing to Shukan Shincho in order to read the serialized columns of Masayuki Takayama and Yoshiko Sakurai; otherwise, as human beings of the twenty-first century…
They must know that, as citizens of Japan, the country where The Turntable of Civilization is turning, they will not be able to lead the world for the next 170 years alongside the United States.
What will happen when they cannot do so=when they continue to aid them?
They may say they have not broken the law in this world?… but there is no doubt that King Enma will judge that they themselves are the greatest evildoers and subject them to torment in hell.
