This article argues that Japan’s mask shortage during the coronavirus crisis was caused in part by products manufactured in China being seized by the Chinese government. It criticizes the danger of depending on China for the production of pharmaceuticals and sanitary goods, and calls on Japanese pharmaceutical manufacturers to bring their factories back to Japan in order to protect the lives of the Japanese people.

What Japan must learn from this unbearable catastrophe and urgently put into practice is to bring all pharmaceutical manufacturers’ factories back to Japan.
In the case of masks, even if manufacturing them in China is one or two yen cheaper, such a matter cannot be weighed against the lives of the Japanese people.
The people, too, have felt this catastrophe in their bones.
Even if it costs one or two yen more, we do not care.
Do not manufacture in China anymore.
Manufacture them domestically.
Everyone is crying out in desperation.
Because every citizen, except for the Asahi Shimbun and the like, the opposition political operators, the so-called human-rights lawyers, the so-called scholars, the so-called intellectuals, the so-called civic groups, and the people who control the news divisions of NHK and the television stations, thinks that entrusting our lives to Xi Jinping is an outrageous idea.
Those people mentioned above are, in truth, only a tiny minority, so there is no business to be made by dealing with such people.
