One Billion Masks and Huawei 5G: The Chinese Communist Party’s Attempt to Expand Its Sphere of Influence During the Wuhan Virus Crisis

Based on an article by Yukihiro Hasegawa published in Hanada, this essay examines how the Chinese Communist Party allegedly stockpiled medical supplies worldwide just before the Wuhan virus outbreak and attempted to use mask donations as leverage to promote Huawei’s 5G system. Through the DHS report, WHO reporting delays, and statements by a U.S. congressman, it exposes the true nature of China under Communist Party rule.

June 5, 2020
During a telephone conversation with President Macron, China proposed that France introduce the fifth-generation mobile communications system, 5G, made by Huawei Technologies, in return for China donating one billion masks.
The following is from an article by Yukihiro Hasegawa, a genuine journalist, published in this month’s issue of the monthly magazine Hanada under the title, “Just Before the Explosion of Infections, China Secretly Ordered a ‘Mask-Buying Operation.’”
The monthly magazine Hanada is filled with articles by genuine journalists and genuine scholars that should be read not only by the Japanese people but also by people throughout the world.
Moreover, this month’s issue of Hanada is a special all-out feature titled, “Xi Jinping and the Wuhan Virus, the Common Enemy of Mankind.”
Just by looking at that title, it is plainly obvious that Hanada is essential reading.
The emphases in the text, apart from the headings, are mine.
Expanding its sphere of influence through stockpiling.
The novel coronavirus has exposed the true nature of “the country called China,” which is ruled by the Chinese Communist Party.
That is becoming increasingly clear both inside and outside China.
As I wrote in this column in the May issue, they tied their own citizens together in a line merely because they “were not wearing masks,” and paraded them through the streets while forcing them to read quarantine rules aloud as a sign of reflection.
It was a grotesque scene reminiscent of the Cultural Revolution, which produced countless victims.
Outside China, they were carrying out a “secret operation” in a more sophisticated form.
They mobilized overseas Chinese throughout the world and bought up masks and protective clothing, namely PPE.
The reason I cannot ignore this is that it was not merely “to protect themselves from infection.”
Through this stockpiling, they were plotting “to gain an advantage in a world where infections would eventually spread, and to expand their sphere of influence.”
There was a moment when this became visible.
On April 4, U.S. Congressman Mark Green, a Republican, revealed on a FOX News program that “Chinese President Xi Jinping, during a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron, proposed that France introduce the fifth-generation mobile communications system, 5G, made by Huawei Technologies, in return for China donating one billion masks.”
Green said on the program, “I heard it in yesterday’s conference call.”
He did not disclose what kind of conference call it was, but if this is true, it means that China used a pandemic to expand its own interests.
Green is a physician and also a military man who graduated from the United States Military Academy.
He is also a figure who was reported to have been under consideration by President Donald Trump for nomination as Secretary of the Army.
China immediately denied the allegation, but it is hard to believe that such an influential congressman would fabricate a “complete tall tale” on television.
A violation of WHO rules.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, DHS, compiled the Chinese Communist Party’s “stockpiling operation” into a four-page report.
On May 4, the Associated Press reported, based on the report it had obtained, that “China intentionally concealed the outbreak of the novel coronavirus in order to gather medical supplies from around the world.”
While China tried to make the seriousness of the situation appear lighter through understated propaganda, it sharply increased imports of medical supplies such as masks and banned exports.
DHS charged that China “denied export restrictions, falsified figures, delayed the publication of trade data, and concealed increases and decreases in imports and exports.”
DHS further charged that “so that it could purchase masks, gowns, gloves, and other items throughout the world, China also refrained during January from reporting to the World Health Organization, WHO, that the novel coronavirus was transmissible to humans.”
That was to suppress a sharp rise in prices.
This is a violation of WHO rules, which require the immediate reporting of infectious diseases.
It probably also violates the rules of the World Trade Organization, WTO.
China clearly concealed the seriousness of the infection.
The mysterious new pneumonia began raging in Wuhan from early December 2019, but China reported it to the WHO only on December 31.
Meanwhile, the late Dr. Li Wenliang, who issued the first warning, was summoned by the police on January 3 and reprimanded.
At the very least, China continued concealing the matter from the world for more than one month.
*It is a fact well known to all viewers that Arima of NHK/watch9 sided with such a China and continued to emphasize President Trump’s response, which stemmed from his heartfelt anger, as nothing more than a framework of U.S.-China confrontation*
This essay continues.
