What NHK’s Watch 9 Is Doing Is Nothing but Impression Manipulation
This chapter criticizes NHK’s reporting department, especially Watch 9, for what it describes as impression manipulation driven by an anti-government stance. It focuses on the program’s treatment of the Sustainability Benefit payments, arguing that NHK emphasized isolated delays while barely reporting the fact that 1.5 million payments totaling 2 trillion yen had already been made, thereby distorting the public impression through biased reporting on public airwaves.

Viewers must realize that what the people who control NHK’s reporting department are doing, especially on Watch 9, is impression manipulation itself.
The ugliness of these people not only makes me feel sick, but watching something like Watch 9 is exactly the same as watching a kindergarten-level school performance.
At the same time, however, it is also biased reporting by extremely malicious and insidious anti-Japanese people.
Watching such a thing is bad for one’s mental health, and so, from last night, I finally stopped watching it.
About the impression manipulation that Watch 9 was carrying out last Friday.
They barely reported the following facts, and instead, saying that payment had still not been made, they endlessly broadcast one yakitori restaurant owner, although in reality there had been deficiencies in the application documents.
All people of insight know that this is the habitual method of NHK, and especially of Arima of Watch 9.
They endlessly feature a single person who says exactly what fits their distorted intentions, and then carry out anti-authority and anti-Trump reporting.
The one doing such things is Japan’s national broadcaster.
Moreover, to use the words they like so much, they continue to do it by using the public airwaves.
The following is the fact.
It is from the prime minister’s answer at the House of Councillors Audit Committee, published in today’s Sankei Shimbun.
Opening section omitted.
The prime minister referred to the fact that Japan has been able to suppress the spread of infection despite having no coercive measures like those in Europe and the United States, and stated, “What is most necessary now is to raise the level of social and economic activity in stages while controlling the risk of infection.”
The prime minister also responded to criticism over the “Sustainability Benefit” program, which supports small and medium-sized businesses and others whose sales have sharply declined, regarding cases in which payments had been delayed despite applications having been filed in early May.
He explained, “It is true that there were issues and problems with the applicants’ documents. It is not the case that everything was a mistake on the part of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.”
He sought understanding, stating that 1.5 million payments totaling 2 trillion yen had already been made.
Remainder omitted.
Arima and the others at Watch 9 apparently have brains below the level of elementary-school children, unable to understand the magnitude of 1.5 million cases and 2 trillion yen.
They barely reported the greatness of this achievement and the enormous amount involved, and instead reported it as if the government had made a mistake.
Even though there is no way that Arima and the others who control NHK’s reporting department could perform the work of paying out more than 2 trillion yen in 1.5 million cases in such a short period.
There is no impression-manipulation reporting more malicious than this.
It is a well-known fact that they report even misconduct by affiliated Diet members, and even matters that are merely personal misconduct, as if the prime minister bears full responsibility for everything.
If that is the case, then the chairman of NHK bears full responsibility for NHK, and on this point too, something suddenly occurred to me.
It was when Arima and Kuwako were hosting Watch 9, after Maeda, who had held an important post at Mizuho Bank, became chairman of NHK.
There was a time when Arima, with the biggest smile imaginable, said to Kuwako, “Mr. Son…”
All decent citizens must have noticed that toward Prime Minister Abe, who is now the greatest politician in the world and who, without any exaggeration at all, can be called one of the greatest politicians in history, Arima only makes, and can only make, a face like that of someone looking at the murderer of his parents.
Mizuho Bank is a bank that has become deeply involved with Masayoshi Son, a man whom it would not be an exaggeration at all to call a speculator, and has extended an enormous amount of loans to him.
Regarding this matter, I will introduce and explain it in detail from the next chapter onward, drawing on Masahiro Miyazaki vs. Tetsuya Watanabe’s “The Corona Great Depression: The World Excludes China,” published on May 1.
When Masayoshi Son’s business model collapses, the one that will suffer immense damage is Mizuho Bank.
Masayoshi Son’s lifeline is China.
In other words, at NHK, the intentions of the top and of the subordinates, that is, the people who belong to NHK’s reporting department, are aligned.
That is why the reporting has become so unbelievably ugly.
