Pulitzer and the Lineage of Fake News: America’s Yellow Press, Nanjing Reporting, Toyota-Bashing, and Anti-Trump Journalism

This article criticizes the distortion of American journalism running through Pulitzer, America’s yellow press, Columbia Journalism School, Nanjing reporting, Toyota-bashing, and anti-Trump media campaigns. Based on Masayuki Takayama’s analysis, it examines the lineage of fabricated reporting from prewar and wartime America to the present, while sharply questioning the reporting stance of NHK and Asahi Shimbun, which uncritically rely on such American media narratives.

This chapter records the author’s criticism of Pulitzer, America’s yellow press, Nanjing reporting, Toyota-bashing, anti-Trump journalism, and the reporting stance of NHK and Asahi Shimbun.
It discusses the problems of American journalism from the prewar and wartime periods to the present, and the structure through which Japanese domestic media attacked the Abe administration.

Pulitzer was the owner of a yellow paper that produced fake news endlessly, and as atonement for that, he also founded a school of journalism at Columbia University.
What the High Court ruling in the preceding chapter makes clear is how left-wing activist elements tell lies.
Needless to say, Kiyomi Tsujimoto and left-wing activists throughout the world have told exactly the same kind of lies.
The Nanjing Massacre was a fabrication created by an American newspaper reporter.
Genuine scholars and journalists have made clear that the schemes of the United States and Chiang Kai-shek were involved in it.
Masayuki Takayama taught us that Pulitzer, the founder of the Pulitzer Prize, was the owner of a yellow paper that endlessly produced fake news, and that he founded a school of journalism at Columbia University as atonement for that wrongdoing.
In other words, American journalism before and during the war was journalism of that level.
And that tradition still lives on in America today.
The unbelievable reporting seen in the recent Toyota-bashing.
A parade of liars.
The manner in which notorious anti-Japanese activists, such as Mindy Kotler, who stood extremely close to the Korean side, attacked Toyota in a way that came close to fabrication.
There, the distortion of American journalism was exposed in plain sight.

The reason NHK is beneath contempt as a news organization, which is supposed to be a group of journalists, is also clear in its handling of the anti-Trump reporting by The New York Times and other outlets concerning the Supreme Court justice selected by President Trump.
Women like Mindy Kotler appeared in American media outlets that endlessly repeated anti-Trump reporting, and NHK attacked Trump without verifying whether their accusations were true or false, reporting them as if they were established facts.
Such an attitude disqualifies it as a news organization.
Of course, for them, denigrating Trump is synonymous with denigrating Prime Minister Abe and diminishing the achievements of the Abe administration.
As a result of Abenomics, Japan returned to the place where it truly belongs in politics, economics, and diplomacy.
That Japan achieved its revival is an undeniable fact recognized throughout the world.
Only Asahi Shimbun, NHK, China, and the Korean Peninsula do not want to recognize it.
That is precisely why they constantly watch for opportunities to attack the Abe administration.
Such an abnormal scene completely dominated Japan until August four years ago.
When one thinks of that, anyone should feel a chill.
The distortion of American journalism.
NHK and Asahi Shimbun, which import that journalism with reverence.
And the structure through which such reporting is used to attack Japan’s conservative government and Japanese companies.
The Japanese people must never forget this structure.
