Who Are the 78 Signatories? — Anger Toward Intellectuals Who Degrade the Nation
Published on August 28, 2019.
Continuing from the previous chapter, this essay expresses strong criticism of the four people shown in the photograph and the 78 signatories.
It mentions Kenzaburo Oe’s absence from the list this time, questions why so many Ritsumeikan University faculty members appear, and issues a warning to students.

Everyone must surely think that the four people in the photograph are probably not genuine Japanese.
The 78 signatories are a chronicle of good-for-nothings.
It is no exaggeration at all to say that this is a chronicle of national traitors and betrayers of the nation.
The following is the continuation of the previous chapter.
Everyone must surely think that the four people in the photograph are probably not genuine Japanese.
The 78 signatories are a chronicle of good-for-nothings.
It is no exaggeration at all to say that this is a chronicle of national traitors and betrayers of the nation.
Kenzaburo Oe, whom I despise more than anyone, did not graduate from the University of Tokyo for nothing.
Perhaps because he is not an utter fool.
He must have thought that if he were to add his name again this time, he would completely lose his qualifications as a Japanese person and be erased from society.
Unusually, this time his name is not listed.
It is a rare occurrence, the first since the war.
What concerns me about this table is that there are an unusually large number of names of Ritsumeikan University faculty members.
Students enrolled at Ritsumeikan University, a representative low-deviation-score regional university and a mammoth university, should spend their student life carefully so that they are not brainwashed by the faculty members appearing here and others of the same kind.
Rather than studying in some strange way, it would be more fitting for a regional university for them to spend four years enjoying themselves, and then they would be able to live their lives as decent Japanese citizens without becoming national traitors.
In any case, they must never, ever become people who betray the nation.
