Distrust of Chinese-Made Masks: China’s Malicious Mask Diplomacy Exposed by the Wuhan Virus Crisis

This article, dated April 29, 2020, records the author’s distrust of Chinese-made masks after being forced to buy them amid a severe mask shortage. It criticizes the Chinese Communist Party’s so-called mask diplomacy, arguing that while Japanese-made masks became difficult to obtain, China inflicted enormous damage on the world and then shamelessly tried to exploit the situation through mask diplomacy.

If it is made in China, then needless to say, it is hateful in any case, and if a virus were attached to it, it would be unbearable.
It is only natural to have such feelings.
Today, an acquaintance told me that masks were being sold in front of a nearby home center, and that a line had formed.
He knew that I had very few masks left, so he thought of buying some for me, but because he had a lot of luggage, he could not stand in line.
In the evening, when I went out to buy food, there still seemed to be some being sold, so I stopped by thinking that, if there were any, I would buy them.
A few hours earlier, while looking at the blog of a person who had sent encouragement to my blog, I saw a Rakuten page attached, offering a box of 50 masks for 2,980 yen with same-day delivery, so I clicked and purchased it.
I bought it thinking that, at any rate, I should buy some, while hoping that they were not made in China.
The masks mentioned at the beginning were the same price, so I bought them without hesitation, but after purchasing them and looking at the box, I saw that they were made in China.
If “limited company” is also used in Taiwan, then it would be good if they were made in Taiwan.
But if they are made in China, then needless to say, it is hateful in any case, and if a virus were attached to them, it would be unbearable.
It is only natural to have such feelings.
Now I can only hope that the product from Rakuten is not made in China.
For the first time in months, I bought a substantial number of masks, but one thing is certain: they are neither made by my beloved Unicharm nor by any other Japanese manufacturer.
I truly wanted to buy Sharp’s masks the other day.
The reason is that, if anyone checked the explanation of the product contents, it was something that would put anyone at ease.
Moreover, they were made at the Mie factory.
I regret not knowing about yesterday’s lottery.
Even so, China’s maliciousness is beyond measure.
Products made by Japanese manufacturers have all been seized and do not enter Japan.
Even though China has inflicted enormous damage on us, it shamelessly carries out the malicious act it calls mask diplomacy.
The phrase “shameless audacity” exists for Xi Jinping, the CCP, and the Korean Peninsula.
