Kitagawa Akira (born 1943) is a Japanese editor and businessman, and head of Daisan Shokan.
He graduated from Kyoto University’s Faculty of Engineering and established the publishing company Daisan Shokan in Nishiwaseda, Shinjuku, Tokyo.
Even someone like this graduated from Kyoto University’s Faculty of Engineering, but that faculty also has, as a professor in the nuclear field, a resident Korean who contributed greatly to North Korea’s nuclear power development and is under government surveillance… so of course he must be closely connected with this Kitagawa Akira.
In 1975, he was arrested by Swedish police authorities along with Shimada Kyoichi, a member of the Japan Red Army logistics committee, and was forcibly deported to Japan.
In September of the same year, the two were arrested at Haneda Airport.
The reason was violation of the Passport Act, and they were said to have been planning to participate in an operation in the Federal Republic of Germany (then West Germany) to kidnap a Japanese employee and extort ransom.
