I am writing to you personally because what has happened to my X account is not merely a matter of losing access to a social media platform.

I agree with many of your views, particularly on freedom of expression, politics, and the extraordinary power that technology companies have acquired over public discourse.

That is precisely why I began to trust Twitter again after you acquired the company and transformed it into X.

Before your acquisition, I had experienced extremely serious problems involving social media accounts, including repeated account hijacking and unauthorized interference.

When you acquired Twitter, I believed something fundamental had changed.

I believed X under your leadership would be different.

I believed I could trust it.

That is why I began using X extensively in conjunction with the three principal platforms through which I publish my work: the official website of The Turntable of Civilization, Hatena Blog, and Ameba Blog.

My X account has been linked with these three publishing platforms, and I have used X as an important part of the dissemination of my work.

When X introduced its paid subscription service, I willingly subscribed.

I did so because I supported what you were trying to build.

That is what makes what has now happened so extraordinary and so unacceptable.

There is one sequence of events that X must examine with particular seriousness.

Late at night on September 10, 2026, shortly before I went to bed, I published an official statement through my three principal publishing platforms: the official website of The Turntable of Civilization, Hatena Blog, and Ameba Blog.

Each site carried the statement under its respective title.

The statement concerned a person appearing on Facebook under the name “Kenji Akutagawa” (芥川賢治).

I stated clearly that this person was impersonating me.

“Kenji Akutagawa” is my own former pen name.

I was the person exposing the impersonation.

I was the person whose former pen name was being used.

I was the victim.

I then went to bed.

When I woke up the following morning and opened X, my account had been suspended.

Then I read the email from X.

According to that notification, I was the one being treated as having engaged in impersonation.

That is the heart of this case.

I exposed an impersonation.

By the next morning, I myself had been treated as the impersonator.

The victim had been turned into the offender.

The person reporting the impersonation had been punished as though he were the person committing it.

How can such an extraordinary inversion of the facts be allowed to stand?

I am MIKIO KISARA (木皿幹雄), the author of The Turntable of Civilization.

“Kenji Akutagawa” (芥川賢治) is a pen name that I myself used in the past.

It is part of my own history as an author.

I am not impersonating another person.

I am not pretending to be someone else.

I am the person whose identity, authorship, and publishing history are at issue.

Yet X has placed me on the wrong side of the very distinction it claims to protect: the distinction between the authentic person and the impersonator.

For me, this is not a minor moderation error.

It is an accusation that strikes directly at my identity and my honor as an author.

I cannot accept an automated decision, a formulaic response, or an unexplained rejection.

I am not asking X to accept speculation about what happened during those hours as established fact.

I am demanding that X investigate what actually happened.

X possesses information that I do not possess: the reports submitted against my account, the precise timing of those reports, the accounts from which relevant actions originated, the internal signals associated with the suspension, my account history, and the exact basis upon which the decision was made.

Examine those records.

Determine exactly what happened between the publication of my statements late on September 10 and the suspension I discovered the following morning.

Determine whether reports or other actions were directed against my account during that period.

Determine whether those actions played any role in the decision to suspend me.

This chronology is too serious to dismiss with an automated response.

I also ask X to examine my publication history, my official website, my authorship of The Turntable of Civilization, my former use of the pen name “Kenji Akutagawa,” and the evidence concerning accounts that have used or misused that identity.

If X conducts a serious examination of those facts, the truth can be established.

I further ask X to investigate whether malicious reporting, impersonation, unauthorized access, account compromise, or other hostile third-party interference contributed to the action taken against my account.

I have experienced such interference over many years.

A superficial review is therefore wholly inadequate.

Mr. Musk, there is a profound irony here.

I trusted X precisely because you acquired Twitter.

I believed that a platform under your leadership would defend authenticity and freedom of expression rather than allow systems intended to fight impersonation to punish the very person whose identity is being misused.

That trust is now being tested.

I therefore ask you, or a senior member of X with the authority to act, to ensure that this case receives a genuine human review.

I request:

1. An immediate human review of the suspension of my X account.
2. A review of the evidence on which X concluded that I had engaged in impersonation or misrepresented my identity.
3. Verification that I, MIKIO KISARA (木皿幹雄), am the author of The Turntable of Civilization and that “Kenji Akutagawa” (芥川賢治) was my former pen name.
4. A detailed investigation into what occurred between the publication of my statements late on September 10, 2026 and the suspension I discovered the following morning.
5. An investigation into whether malicious reporting, impersonation, unauthorized access, account compromise, or other third-party interference contributed to this suspension.
6. Restoration of my account if, as I maintain, the suspension resulted from a mistaken determination concerning my identity.
7. A clear explanation of how this decision was reached and what X will do to prevent the genuine victim of impersonation or identity misuse from being treated as the perpetrator.

I am prepared to provide documentary evidence establishing my identity, my authorship, my publication history, and my prior use of the pen name in question.

I am also prepared to pursue every appropriate avenue necessary to protect my name, my authorship, my reputation, and my rights.

This is not about losing access to an account.

It is about being falsely identified as the very thing I was exposing.

I supported X because I believed in what you were attempting to create.

I still want to believe that an organization under your leadership will correct a serious mistake when the evidence is placed before it.

That is why I am addressing this appeal directly to you.

Please ensure that this case receives the serious human examination it deserves.

I was exposing an impersonation.

I was not committing one.
