On my way home, I sang “Stranger in the Night” by Frank Sinatra,

The chapter I sent out on 2016-08-22 titled “molto Obrigado” was one of the top four most popular pages on Amoeba.
I was watching the closing ceremony of the Rio Olympics. The first thing President Bach said when he took the stage for the last time was this.

Oh, well, now I know what that lady said to me.
I swam for my life to land in Albano Lake in Castel Gandolfo, Rome.
As a courtesy to the Pope, on that occasion, among the people around the pond.
I still don’t know; an old lady told me, “thank you,” because I had always thought I was being warned for swimming.

I was one of the biggest drinkers in Osaka.
I drank a few bottles of good wine with some Roman aristocrats.
I was already very familiar at the mansion of my classmate and best friend, whom I had prepared a substantial sum of money for in Italy, the subject of swimming came up, and then the absurd idea of going for a swim.

It was the first and last time in my life that I swam after drinking a lot of wine, or drinking alcohol, for that matter. So I swam with the utmost caution lest anything should happen to me.

It was also the first time I swam against the algae that inhabited the lake.

Ever since junior high school, I had been told that I was a beautiful swimmer. But, as we were talking about it, we decided to go swimming, so we drove to Lake Albano and swam.

I finished early and went back to land.

Lake Albano is a lovely lake, famous because Stendhal had sunk the first letter of his lover’s name into the bottom of the lake.

The pizza at the Italian restaurant by the lake is thin and tasty, and many people drive from Rome to eat at this family-run restaurant.

On my way home, I sang “Stranger in the Night” by Frank Sinatra, one of Italy’s greatest stars, at the cash register and was applauded by the manager.
