Indeed, the manner in which individuals whose only claim to existence is being a University of Tokyo professor or graduate have undermined Japan and weakened its national strength.
That manner, together with the way North Korean officials evaluate people solely by whether they graduated from the University of Tokyo, is strikingly similar.
