Japan’s Cooperation with China on 5G Is Equivalent to Shooting Its Only Ally, the United States

5G is a foundational technology that will control industry, the economy, and military activity. Whoever controls 5G will control the world. While the United States is restricting Huawei and trying to stop China’s technological hegemony, Japanese companies helping China build semiconductor production and 5G infrastructure is equivalent to shooting Japan’s only ally, the United States.

I do not intend to deny the necessity of economic exchange, but providing technical assistance for 5G is an act equivalent to shooting the United States, Japan’s only ally.
The following is a continuation of the previous chapter.
Japan cooperates with China on 5G
The problem is that even if the international community understands that the “community of shared future for mankind” concept is an outrageous idea, there is a possibility that it may be unable to resist China.
One example of this may be 5G.
With the transition from 4G to 5G, everything will be connected to the internet, and not only ordinary people’s lives, but all industry, economic activity, and military activity will come to depend on 5G.
If an internet based on 5G is constructed, it will become the technology that carries the central nervous system of the world.
In other words, whoever controls 5G controls the world.
The United States, having realized this, launched the U.S.-China trade war and restricted the supply of semiconductors to Huawei Technologies.
China was stunned and, saying, “Then we will make them ourselves,” stole technology and began manufacturing Chinese-made semiconductors.
At that time, on NHK’s Watch 9, Kuwako said that the United States had made the first move, as though it had done something wrong, and Arima nodded in agreement.
William Barr, mentioned earlier, feels a strong sense of crisis over the struggle for hegemony in the 5G field and stated as follows.
“China has already begun using its own semiconductors in place of American-made semiconductors. At present, we still maintain superiority in quality, but China consumes half of the world’s semiconductors. Considering the scale of its manufacturing, its qualitative inferiority is likely to be improved rapidly.”
China will stop at nothing to expand its 5G share.
It is said to have prepared 100 billion dollars, 11 trillion yen, for expanding its share, and is ready to take care of all countries and companies that wish to develop infrastructure using 5G technology without requiring them to bear the financial burden, and also to dispatch 50,000 5G engineers.
Barr also said this.
“The battle is fierce and severe. It will be decided within five years. The question is whether the United States and its allies can cooperate and build a strong long-term position that will allow them not to surrender to China.”
In fact, amid the current novel coronavirus turmoil, it has become clear to the eyes of the world that Japanese people are lending a hand to China in the 5G war.
Wuhan is a major concentration point for the automobile industry and a key point in the automobile industry’s supply chain, but at the same time it is also a center of the semiconductor industry.
Masahiko Hosokawa, a specially appointed professor at Chubu University, has made the following point.
“The other day, several hundred Japanese returned from Wuhan by chartered flights. About half of them were workers related to automobiles, but most of the rest were workers related to semiconductors. Engineers from Japanese semiconductor manufacturing equipment makers are involved in the construction and maintenance of such factories. China is staking its national destiny on building 5G technology infrastructure around the world without the United States, and is aiming to produce all the semiconductors it needs by itself. Japanese companies are helping it do so.”
It will probably be impossible to make China stop manufacturing semiconductors.
The only choice is to delay China’s achievement of its objectives as much as possible and buy time.
When the United States is making such efforts, why are Japanese companies lending a hand to China?
I do not intend to deny the necessity of economic exchange, but providing technical assistance for 5G is an act equivalent to shooting the United States, Japan’s only ally.
Moreover, the bullet fired will ultimately wound Japan itself.
Japan must rebuild its strategy on 5G so that it does not damage its national interest.
