The Contradiction of Those Demanding Immediate Payments: The Irresponsibility of the Media and Opposition That Opposed My Number Cards
During the Wuhan virus crisis, Japanese media outlets such as NHK and the Asahi Shimbun, along with opposition politicians, criticized the government for being slow to provide cash payments. Yet many of those same voices had opposed the My Number Card system, which would have made swift payments easier. This article exposes the contradiction, irresponsibility, and opportunism of media figures, opposition politicians, and activists who live by attacking the government over whatever issue is current.

Almost all of the people now saying that they want money immediately, today or tomorrow,
are the very same people who opposed the government when it tried to introduce the My Number Card system.
The nonsense and irresponsibility of television stations such as NHK, newspapers such as the Asahi Shimbun,
these mass media outlets, opposition-party politicians, and the citizens who go along with them, have reached the extreme.
Almost all of the people now saying that they want money immediately, today or tomorrow,
are the very same people who opposed the government when it tried to introduce the My Number Card system.
Now, probably by bringing up the example of Germany,
they are chanting criticism and denunciation of the Abe administration, saying that the Japanese government’s response is slow.
And they are doing this at a time like this.
For example, the reason cash payments were made immediately in Germany
is that all citizens are enrolled in the equivalent of a My Number Card system, or conduct the procedures of social life through such a system.
Just as they have forgotten the original duty of journalists, which is to uncover the true nature of the Wuhan virus,
they do not even realize that they are revealing their own stupidity.
Why does this happen?
Because all of them, so to speak, are broadcast geisha,
people who make their living from whatever topic happens to be current at the time.
